My Silver Spoon by Tracy Matthews

I remember I almost fainted
Your kiss so innocent
Your sacred covetness felt so
Untainted
The problems we had makes our
Good times irrelevant
The days were long, the
Nights were shorter
In the end you diminished because
Of a unsettling disorder

Lust by Tracy Matthews

A seductive siren masked under
A well of beauty and great
Admiration
Lust you leave that taste of
Dark chocolate covered with dark red
Rose petals
When I close my eyes I get
Over taken by a painful but pleasant
Sensation
As I inhale I got that whiff
Of smelting coals on a fresh
Cut douglas fir with a dampening
Flame
As soon as you go you
Rearrive with reoccurring Admiration
Lust you must depart
Or leave me uncovered torn apart

Homage to 2Pac Shakur by Tracy Matthews

“Revenge is like the sweetest joy”

2Pac’s death amplified his words of a struggle.
At the age of youth “ALL EYES ON ME” was my favorite toy.
While still pushed time away from 96.
They predict return like Machiavelli did 5 centuries ago in 76.
“Kill Illuminati”
Was it Notorious himself?
East Coast beefing with the West Coast.
Did he sign away pulled to make himself smoke and toast.
“Hugging on my momma from a jail cell”
Can we imagine life in Cali at his time
“Escape from hell”
Ironic they found slugs but no shell
Still Afeni his mother holds his legacy alive and iconic

Hit Me Knees by Tracy Matthews

I talked to God today
I asked him to show me
A new way
I asked him to help me
Be free and live another day
I talked to God today
I begged him to take the
Evil off the streets
I ask Him to help me to
Help those who got mud in
Their cleats
I prayed to God today
I told him I didn’t want to
Be in misery
I asked to forgive me and
Break out of this form of hell
I prayed today…
And to my knees I fell

Gift from Above by Tracy Matthews

You came to us dying
Without a flaw
You got sent, from our
Father to free us all
Heaven sent, prayer
And medication is time well
Spent
Forgiven for my sins
The great salvation
Repent from my sins
A new transformation
We have in us born
Flaw
Surrender is where it
All begins
Immortal there is no
Ends
