It’s with myself that I wage this fight
A battle fought both day and night Everything’s wrong, nothing’s right Can’t escape my abject plight So many things inside of me I don’t allow anyone to see Still my seraph hears my silent plea I see her cry when she sings Put her thru such hellish things She truly earned her heavenly wings A perfect love I hear in the lilt of her voice Drowned out by the din of my choice I don’t know why she keeps on trying Continues to smile instead of crying Knowing I’ll only risk leaving her again Wish I could say it’s my only sin
