So the Dirt Asked the Grass by E.L.

When was the last time you lived amongst the tree's
made a path through the leaves
or lay in the flower bed with the bees
Watching As they pollinate life for those honey thieves
Felt death and demise lay to nourish the earth
as the worm helps the rotting flesh turn to dirt
The rain spray to show its worth
and the seed sprouts such a marvelous birth.
When was the last time you've enjoyed such splendor
examining each snow flake in the white of December
As the hues of blue change hear the ice wimper
feel the chilling and cold burn of a icicle splinter.
Have you ever shook violently when your face screamed burr
Waiting patiently for the weather change at the end of the winter
turning brown then green or hot red with a temper
