war on us by: worth

As comraderie goes we embarked on the same mission
I ready at the flank, words exchanged to
Determine the strategic plan of attack
I was too informed to stay away from enemy lines
Do not cross into enemy territory
With that I observed the enemy trying to separate us
From the home front. Weapons of mass destruction
Present on both sides only did harm to us
Time in the war has been hectic I need
A reprieve. No reinforcements en route
Per diem is not expected. Following orders to
A tee. Yet I noticed the chain of command
Doing what I was ordered not to do.
How hypocritical. No lines of communication
Now. I seem to be on my own. Wait a
Life line, nope just friendly fire but not
So friendly.
Traitor!
How dare you switch sides
All well, return fire, until the ammunition
Ceases or the enemy surrenders. All hate now
No recourse just violence. Victimized no longer
White flags waved. One too many intercessions,
Finally a peace treaty. Spoils of war goes
To the future generation. A prisoner of war is
Emotional & what once was has been dead.
She seems to hate me for not joining her
Mutiny.
